It is quiet in Phnom Penh.
Most have left for their home province, or a Cambodian holiday spot to celebrate Khmer New Year.
But one old lady is quietly cleaning. Welcoming the New Year into her spic-and-span house.
Her offering is meticulously laid out. Everything is just so.
A transistor radio sits at the front of the table playing quietly.
She smiles at me and takes a stool and washes some dishes.
She looks content.
Happy New Year.
May the days and nights be good to you.
