Nan

Nan town, Nan province, Northern Thailand

Nan is a splendid little Northern Thai town of 22,000 people. It sits on the banks of the Nan river and has some delightful temples most of which are easily accessible by bicycle.

It receives few tourists (I didn’t see any Westerner at the temples I visited) although that is expected to change with hordes expected as new borders open and a railway line from China via Laos is in the pipeline.
