In September Australia paid $31 million to Cambodia as part of the grubby deal to accept refugees housed in the little island of Nauru.
Last week Australia doled out $12 million more.
The refugees arrival today is said to be ‘likely but not confirmed.’
Which sounds odd. Where are they, and is Cambodia still playing political games in the hope of more cash?
The number of refugees ‘likely but not confirmed’ to arrive is four.
So that would be nearly $11 million dollars per refugee so far with little promise of more giving up Nauru for the supposed good life in Cambodia.
The refugees arrived in Phnom Penh at 10.30AM today.
