Not a taxi to be found in Singapore as it was the beginning of Chinese New celebrations.
This meant a lot of walking. No bad thing especially when it means you stumble upon the Yueh Hai Ching Temple. This very recently restored Teochew Temple, first built in 1826 and rebuilt in 1850, was gazetted as a Singaporean National Monument in 1996.
The temple is also known as Yue Hai Qing Temple, Yue Hai Qing Miao, and Wak Hai Cheng Bio.
